Overview
The Transplant Active website redesign was part of a wider organisational rebrand, launched alongside the 2026 British Transplant Games. The goal was to deliver a modern, accessible, and engaging digital platform that better serves a diverse audience. The key challenge was refreshing the website to align with the new brand while making their current content more accessible through a carefully crafted UX layout systems. This included a stronger focus on visuals to connect with audiences, clearly defined categories to simplify navigation, and guiding users through action-oriented journeys, all to create an inclusive and engaging experience for athletes, transplant recipients, donor families, and the wider community. The new design incorporates flexible content blocks, large image tiles, and structured “Explore” sections, breaking information into digestible sections and improving overall usability across devices. Content was reorganised to prioritise user journeys, making it easier for visitors to find activities, events, and resources while encouraging participation. The refreshed platform reflects a strategic shift in messaging, from competitive sport to wider physical activity and community engagement. By prioritising usability and clear user journeys, the website now reaches a broader audience more effectively. Early results show a positive impact, with an increase in user sign-ups following the launch. This suggests that the improved navigation, stronger visual storytelling, and inclusive content are successfully encouraging users to engage and participate. The result is a more intuitive, accessible, and engaging platform that reduces friction, encourages exploration, and supports more people in taking the next step toward becoming active.
